💚 Bio (from my games career) 💚
Currently just focusing on my band Tungsind and taking a break from the games industry.

I graduated in spring of 2016 from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Audio Design and Production. Post-graduation I immediately jumped into my first full-time sound design position at Jellyvision. Outside of work I volunteered with Chicago's IGDA chapter starting in June 2016, and served as Secretary on the Executive board from September 2017 to December 2018. During my studies in college I worked at a few recording studios around Chicago, first at Uptown Recording as an intern, and then at Transient Sound as an Assistant Engineer. In August 2018 I decided to take the leap into full-time freelance and wound up in Norway, and then Copenhagen where I worked 3 years full time at Triband as a sound designer, and simultaneously part-time at Unlock Audio as a Voice Director. Also slightly before and during Triband and Unlock I co-founded a game audio company called Nok Nok Audio with two of the most inspiring sound designers I’ve met in my travels, Oda Tilset and Martin Kvale. I’m now on a break, it was a lot to juggle at once hence the burnout.

Now excuse me while I journal out some of my biggest moments throughout my career.
🌱 Now: Burnout
Maybe actually i'm not quite ready to talk about this, but the short version is i've burned out 5+ times and its done some real permanent damage. I think burnout awareness is really important but lemme process my thoughts more first. I'll link a rant here when i'm ready.
🌱 2025: The Last Spillprisen
we sweeped hehe
🌱 2024: Working with Ulver
Ulver is literally one of my favorite bands, and though the game we collaborated on lost funding its still a huge career milestone to me.
🌱 2024: IGF Nomination
I always wanted to sit at one of the fancy tables at GDC, it was cool but also... maybe a bit overrated?
🌱 2023: Amaze talk
Amaze is still the best game festival out there, and our talk was so chaotic and fun.
🌱 2022: In-house Graffiti Artist
Gamescom madness
🌱 2022: Triband Chaos
I've never wanted to be in-house at a studio, but this was pretty fun for a while. especially gamescom prep
🌱 2019: NokNok
I'm not ready to talk about this one yet. It was good and I want to reflect that, but for now i'm still processing quite a lot of hurt.
🌱 2018-19: The Nomad Years
I saw so much of the world thanks to this period of my life. I also learned how important it is to have a safe home base.
🌱 2018: Skate City
The most fun recording/skate sessions. The insane flex of going back to my shitty guitar center job to use their equiptment for free and then leave muahahahah
🌱 2018: Crossing Continents
I'm so beyond thankful i left the us. holy shit what a shitshow that place is.
🌱 2016: The First GDC
the origin of my whole games career happened in like 2 months.
🌱 2015: Transient Sound
i miss recording studios a little bit. but the sexism just isnt worth it.
